Ahha Tulsa has partnered with the Mid-America Arts Alliance to offer a unique professional development opportunity for Tulsa-area artists working in all disciplines: Artist INC.
Ahha Tulsa is currently accepting applications for the 2019 Artist INC Live cohort.
Artist INC provides cutting-edge training seminars that address the specific daily business needs and challenges artists of all disciplines face. Limited to twenty-five participants per seminar, artists gather for one night a week for eight weeks to learn business skills specific to their art practice and apply those skills cooperatively with their peers.
Lesson topics covered in the eight weekly sessions of Artist INC include planning; marketing; financial management; writing; legal issues; grants; technology; and public presenting. This training changes the way artists think about business, giving them the practical tools and peer feedback they need to strengthen their art practice, seize opportunities, and shape their creative and financial futures. As artists leave Artist INC, they connect with one another in a variety of ways to share ideas, funding opportunities, and more.
This project is generously funded by Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Windgate Charitable Foundation, Inc., and the state arts agencies of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. Locally, this project has received support from the Kathleen Patton Westby Foundation.

Artist INC is open to any artist of any discipline, from emerging through established careers. Applicants should communicate how the Artist INC program will support or strengthen their own business practice as well as show promise of participation in their local artist community network.
