Jeff is a percussionist, dancer, and singer from Tulsa who now resides in Nevada City, California. He has been studying and playing music from Cuba, West Africa, the Congo, and Brazil for the past 22 years and has taught for the past 18 years. He performs and teaches around the country and has played on a record with Paul Simon’s horn players from Graceland and Emmylou Harris, just to name a few.
Currently Jeff is part of a brass band called the Claptet Orchestral Ensemble and is a part of the band Inner Oceans out of Los Angeles. He loves to incorporate body percussion and rap into his teaching of world rhythms and loves getting to work with youth every year in California, Oregon, Colorado, and good ol’ Oklahoma!
