Preparing for your college or AP portfolio? In this weeklong camp, instructor John Bryant will lead you through collaborative and highly interactive exercises, such as drawing at massive (and micro) scale, drafting with light, and rendering subjects in three dimensions. Guest instructors will drop in throughout the week to offer constructive critique and provide additional perspectives on style and technique.
John’s art is informed by surrealism and its relations, collage, printmaking, photography, narrative, and weird fiction. He received his MFA from the University of Tulsa. As Studio Supervisor at ahha, he manages the technical operations of the printmaking and digital media labs. John was born in Tulsa, and grew up in Austin, Texas. His favorite condiment is BBQ sauce.
Thanks to the generosity of many donors, ahha Tulsa provides camp, class, and workshop scholarships to youth with demonstrated financial need.
