Classes & Workshops

portfolio & Professional practices

The Portfolio and Professional Practices course will provide a workshop environment for students to develop a professional photographic portfolio and learn the practice of presenting their work to curators, galleries, publishing companies and at portfolio reviews. This course will offer instructor-led critiques to help students better understand the process of editing and sequencing prints and gain a greater ability to speak about their work in a formal setting. Additionally, this course will dive into topics of the photographic book, photo festivals and portfolio reviews, grant writing, exhibition and publication proposals, as well as social media and marketing applications for professional photographers.
