About the Exhibition
The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s triennial exhibition Concept investigates current art making in Oklahoma with guest curator, Heather Pesanti, The Contemporary Austin. Through the Focus component, OVAC works with a regional partner city to select 4 artists from that community and 4 artists from Oklahoma. These Focus artists receive an honorarium of $1,500 to create a new body of work. Additionally, there is a Survey component that features the work of 27 Oklahoma artists working in a variety of media. Following this exhibition, the Focus projects will travel to Harvester Arts in Wichita, KS for a second exhibition in May 2020. For more information, visit concept-ok.org.
