Cost

$25/1 unit per class (minimum of 2 classes must be booked back-to-back); $25/1 unit per hour of residency + one-time $100/4 unit planning fee

Booking

Run away to the circus without ever leaving your backyard! In this class, students will learn four different circus arts by creating props with items they can find at home – from juggling to tight rope walking to spinning plates and more. Students will then create their own center ring and a big top circus tent and use the props and skills gained throughout class to put on a circus at home for friends and family or an audience of stuffed animals.

Time Availability

Artist is only available virtually Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM.

Materials Needed

6-10 pencils or pens
Masking or painters tape
Plastic bowls, storage containers, or plates
3 empty plastic shopping bags
A broom, mop, or long pole you don’t mind getting messed up
Paper for drawing
3 large cardboard boxes
Duct tape
Optional markers, glitter, or other art supplies
Paint can, sturdy bucket, or other sturdy round object

Additional Notes

Artists in the Schools is available for use by all schools and educational institutions, public or private. Program costs are listed on individual offering pages. Tulsa, Jenks, and Owasso Public Schools teachers and staff are able to book through Artists in the Schools at no cost to individual sites because district funds have been allocated to the program. Some restrictions may apply; contact us for details.
