Students come to school with a variety of stressors. Combined with peer pressure, academic pressure, and testing, students may experience high levels of stress that impede their social, emotional, and academic learning and development. In this class, students will move in creative ways to a variety of music and sounds. Props such as cooperative blankets will be used to help shy or embarrassed students feel comfortable dancing in front of peers. By moving through stressful feelings, students can return to their studies after movement class with a renewed energy and focus. This offering can also be booked as a residency.
