We’ve partnered with local landmark Theatre Tulsa to provide safe live theatre to our community.
Theatre Tulsa will present a new and unique theatre experience with the world premiere of “Tell Me A Story” in November. The production, a three-part series of true-life personal stories adapted into theatre performances, will be held at ahha Tulsa in a staging that is fully designed for public health and safety.
Each of the six performances will take place in a static location throughout the ahha Hardesty Center, while audiences will rotate to the different locations in socially-distanced groups of 10. Tickets for each show will be limited to 60.
“This is our response to live theatre being shut down for so long this year. We redesigned the entire experience of attending a show so that we could continue producing theatre that builds up and strengthens our community,” said Jarrod Kopp, executive director of Theatre Tulsa.
Over the past few months, Theatre Tulsa has been collecting true-life stories from local Tulsans and assigning writers to develop them into theatre pieces. Directors were assigned each script in order to recruit actors and develop the stories into live performances. Each show will feature variety and several surprises in its intimate style of storytelling.
The first of the “Tell Me A Story” series will be held the first two weekends of November, followed by parts two and three in December and January. All performances will be at ahha Tulsa, 101 E Archer St. in downtown Tulsa.
November 6, 7, 13, 14, 2020
December 4, 5, 11, 12, 2020
January 8, 9, 15, 16, 2021
Tickets for all performances are $25 each. The audience will be split up in groups of 10 to maintain appropriate distance, and groups will rotate throughout the facility. When purchasing tickets, you may choose the group (A, B, C, D, E, F) you wish to join as long as there are enough tickets available in that group. Each performance will contain a total of no more than 60 tickets.
We cannot guarantee availability of tickets at the door. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.
Users must create an account with ahha’s sales platform or login to an existing account to complete a purchase.
Masks are required for all guests and staff while inside the ahha Hardesty Center. In addition to spacing performance spaces throughout the 40,000 square foot building, ahha has plenty of open air spaces, hand sanitizer, and good air flow. Performances will take place after hours, so no other guests will be in the facility. You can read more about our COVID protocol here.
